NDIS STA Provider in Melbourne
Eminence Care is a registered NDIS STA provider in Melbourne. We have been trusted for years to offer short-term accommodation and respite for participants who are in search of a supported place to stay away from home.
Short-term accommodation sits within our housing and support options alongside SIL, SDA, ILO and MTA, and stays are supported by the same team that works with our participants day to day. We deliver services across Melbourne and South East Melbourne from our base in South Victoria.
What NDIS short term accommodation in Melbourne involves
Short-term accommodation, which most families still call respite, covers a stay away from home for a set period along with the support that goes with it.
Two people benefit from the same booking. The participant gets a change of environment, a different set of activities and time with people outside their usual routine, while the family member or carer who normally provides support gets a genuine break.
Respite care is listed as its own service at Eminence Care, and the way we have always described it is straightforward. Families take a break while their loved one receives professional support in a caring environment, with their comfort and wellbeing looked after throughout.
Our NDIS short accommodation in Melbourne provides a safe, welcoming environment where participants can enjoy quality care while carers take the time they need to rest and recharge.

What NDIS short term accommodation in Melbourne involves
For a stay in an unfamiliar setting, knowing who is accountable matters more than usual. This is how we make it special for everyone.
Support during your stay
Our team is always ready to provide assistance in personal care, meal preparation, medication management and household tasks across the stay, at whatever level the participant needs. We screen the workers we place, manage them directly, and address any complaint about a support provider ourselves rather than passing it to someone else.
Activities and community access
Participants staying with us can join our day program, which runs cinema, yoga, candle making, Zumba, baking, tie dye and messy play sessions, and has a gaming room on site. The program operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on weekends from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Transport is provided as part of our social and community participation support, so getting out during a stay is part of the service rather than something families arrange separately.
Health and clinical support
Where a participant has health needs that continue through their stay, our community nursing team can deliver personalised nursing care on site. Therapeutic support and exercise physiology are also available from the same organisation, which means a stay does not have to interrupt a participant’s existing routine of appointments.
Why choose Eminence Care as your NDIS STA provider
Eminence Care, the most trusted and certified NDIS short-term accommodation provider in Melbourne, was formed to provide the highest standards of care and support for people who need it across the community, and we are not willing to compromise on the quality of either.
We have an accredited CEO, Parul Tokas, who received the 2024 40 Under 40 Australia Award.
We deliver our services in an environment where everyone feels respected, welcomed and supported regardless of ability, religion, sexual orientation or cultural background.
For short-term accommodation, this matters in practical terms, because participants are staying somewhere that is not their own home and the standard of that environment is the whole point of the service.

FAQs
Short term accommodation, commonly called respite, is a funded stay away from home for a set period, including the support the participant needs while they are there. It gives the participant a change of environment and a different set of activities, and gives the carer who usually supports them a break. At Eminence Care, respite care is listed as its own service and stays are supported by the same team that works with our participants day to day, so the support does not come from a stranger.
Yes. Eminence Care is a registered NDIS disability services provider, and short term accommodation sits within our housing and support options alongside SIL, SDA, ILO and MTA. Being registered means participants who are agency managed, plan managed or self managed can all access our services. It also means we are accountable to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission for the standard of support delivered during a stay, not only to the family who booked it.
A stay covers accommodation along with the support the participant needs while they are there, including assistance with personal care, meal preparation, medication management and household tasks. Participants can join our day program during their stay, which runs cinema, yoga, zumba, baking, candle making, tie dye and messy play sessions and has a gaming room on site. Transport is provided through our social and community participation support, and community nursing is available where health needs continue through the stay.
Short term accommodation is a temporary stay, usually booked for respite or for a break from the participant’s usual routine. Supported independent living is an ongoing arrangement in the participant’s own home, whether owned, rented or shared, with support delivered there on a continuing basis. Eminence Care provides both, along with SDA, ILO and MTA. Some participants use a short stay to test whether a shared living arrangement suits them before committing to anything longer term.
Contact our team with the dates you are considering and details of the supports currently funded in your NDIS plan. We will talk through availability, what the stay would include, and how any existing supports such as personal care or nursing carry across. If you have a support coordinator, we can work with them directly. Booking ahead of time gives you more options than booking in an emergency, so it is worth starting the conversation early.
